Designs start with painting and tearing textured papers. Fabrics are also painted and have teased and frayed edges. These are then combined in layers with silks, organzas and transparent fabrics.

Stitching is the fundamental element of each design created by a mixture of free machine embroidery and hand stitching. Creations are embellished with found objects, such as shells and buttons, sequins, beads and mixed mediums. Textured metallic, satin and glittery threads are interwoven into the creations.
